We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

I have seen the Cowboy Christmas Centerpiece, but cannot find any pricing or availability information. Can you help me? It is beautiful and the wife would love one.
Response From Trailmaster:
"Cowboy Christmas" was our holiday centerpiece for 2011. It was a limited edition of 1100 that sold out quickly. You may be able to find one on eBay or you may check with a retailer near you who may still have one available. Our 2012 centerpiece, also a limited edition, is "Woodland Christmas" and you may want to check that out.

Do you have a native horse for the Choctaw Nation? I would love to have one for my dad who is Choctaw.
Response From Trailmaster:
Yes, the figurine "Lightning Bolt Colt" was created by the Choctaw artist, Dianne Strongbow. The life-size version of th is Pony was part of our original public art project, and it was crafted into one of our first figurines. It is now retired but you may be able to find one in The Trail of Painted Ponies Vault, as it is a treasure today.

Janet Hyatt from Rutherfordton NC wrote on June 18, 2012:
Do you have a "Wedding Pony"?
Response From Trailmaster:
We do not have a "Wedding Pony" as part of the general line, but we do have artists who excel at creating one-of-a-kind, special Wedding Ponies. If you would like to speak with one, call our offices - 1-877-459-5701 - and ask Rikki for the name of a "Wedding Pony Artist."

Would love to have a signed edition of Navajo Blanket. How can I order one? Thank you, Anne
Response From Trailmaster:
This Pony was part of the very first release, before we were offering Autographed Editions. I would suggest you contact Treasures from the Vault - 1-855-868-2427 - and see if they have a Navajo Blanket figurine. Then, if they do, purchase it and contact the artist directly and see if she would be willing to sign it. Most of our artists are very agreeable.

Is there anyway I can order blanks just for my own pleasure of painting them? I have many ideas and would love to paint some to go with my collection. Thank you, Anne
Response From Trailmaster:
As you probably know, we offer the rearing and running horse as part of a Paint Your Own kit. We are also in the process of generating a limited number of other forms - standing, walking, regal - that would be offered without the brushes or paint pots included. We hope to have these available by the fall, and they will be available exclusively on our Official Store.

Kayleigh from Florida wrote on June 16, 2012:
I have a first edition of Epic Horse and an eighth edition Tewa Horse and was curious as to their current value; however when I use the sites search function it brings up practically every horse but the ones I wanted. Is there anyone that can give me an estimate of their value to satisfy my curiosity?
Response From Trailmaster:
"Current value" is almost synonomous with "market value," which depends on the edition number, rarity of the piece, physical condition, condition of the package, and how badly someone wants to add this Pony to their collection. The quickest way to determine that is check out a comparable Pony on eBay.

iv been looking for a painted pony. it has a buffalo head on the horses head and the buffalo skin continues down its back. the pony also has some indian markings i think. i would pay anything to find it.
Response From Trailmaster:
This may have been a custom design created by an artist on a Painted Pony horse form, because there have been no Trail of Painted Ponies figurines created in this likeness.

Myrna from CO wrote on May 26, 2012:
Will the winners of the Paint horses be available for sale and when?
Response From Trailmaster:
Several of the APHA competition finalists are currently being crafted into figurines. While we prefer to keep which ones a secret for the moment, I can say that the first will be introduced in January 2013.

What date do the signed editions of the new spring 2012 figures get posted out?? I'm anxiously awaiting my signed sea horse figurine
Response From Trailmaster:
Because the artist who created this wonderful Pony is not only hand-signing them, but also embellishing, it has taken a little longer than usual for the Autographed Editions to be completed. In fact we just received word that they have all arrived at our our fulfillment center shipping will begin on the other side of Memorial Day Weekend. Thank you for your patience. As you will discover when you receive your Pony, it will have been worth the wait.

Why is Navajo Blanket so expensive?
Response From Trailmaster:
Your question makes me think you probably are not aware of the way in which Painted Pony figurines can appreciate in value. "Navajo Blanket" was part of the very first release of Painted Pony figurines in 2003. It was retired in March of 2004. A limited number were created, so it is considered rare and highly desirable by serious collectors. For these reasons, it is "expensive."
