We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

I am new at this, but I was wondering how to purchae a l large ponie that I could enter in one of your contests?
Response From Trailmaster:
We offer Paint Your Own Pony kits in one size only - the 6" figurine size - and in two forms: running and rearing.

Hi, I recently purchased a collection of ponies from a fellow collector and wanted to sell some of the ones I don't prefer. Is there a good place to connect with other collectors as many of the ones I am looking to "re-home" are from the early herds and some 1E's? Thank you very much!
Response From Trailmaster:
Right now, your best venue is probably e-Bay. However, if you would like to send us a list of the 1Es from early herds you are willing to part with, we will be glad to pass the information along to several private dealers who sometimes purchase from estates, etc.

Jodee from Colorado wrote on May 11, 2012:
Hi! Could you please tell me the next date that ponies will be retired? Thanks!
Response From Trailmaster:
We will be announcing the next retirement on our July website update.

I don't know if this has been asked before but why haven't you produced any ceramic ponies? I really do miss the contrast between the resin and ceramic. Will you be producing any ceramics at all?
Response From Trailmaster:
Although it's true we have not come out with many ceramic Ponies lately, we have not abaondoned them. It's simply a matter of when the time has come to make decisions about which designs to translate into figurines, the consensus has been that they are more beautifully expressed in resin.

Lori Comey from Orlando wrote on May 04, 2012:
Who is now manufacturing these collectibles?
Response From Trailmaster:
Enesco is the manufacturer of Trail of Painted Ponies figurines.

I so love painting my own ponies as well as collective them. Do you sell the ponies in the standing position and the one with the tail blowing forward just standing for a paint your own artist? I'd like to have a paint your own pnie the same form as medicine horse but I do ot see it on your web site. Thank you!
Response From Trailmaster:
We are working on this and may have some good news to announce this summer.

I have a #11254 High Desert Horse Feathers painted by Kathy Morrow. Could you please tell me the value??
Response From Trailmaster:
As with other rare and retired Painted Ponies, the best way to determine their current value on the resale market is to check on eBay and see what the same piece with a comparable edition number is selling for.

Vicki Ahlgrim from Bloomfield, New Mexico wrote on April 18, 2012:
I am an earnest collector of Painted Ponies. I have purchased many of the signed ponies from the Official Trail of Painted Ponies Store and Vault. Why are you discontinuing the signed ponies? Also, in the Treasure Vault, why do you not list the edition and number of those ponies? I believe if they come from the vault they are special and all that info should be provided?!?! Thanks in advance for your reply. Vicki
Response From Trailmaster:
We do want to continue to offer collectors something special they cannot get anywhere else, so we will not be discontinuing the Autographed Editions completely. Going forward, we will just be offering them selectively. As for the signed editions for sale through Treasures from the Vault, what we guarantee is that they are all first editions, under number 500.

Janice Johnson from Decatur, Al wrote on April 16, 2012:
When is the next competition? I attempted to submit a design for the APHA competition but it ended up in cyberland until the 4th.Does anything happen to designs that arrived late or are they discarded? Thanks, Janice
Response From Trailmaster:
Late designs will be added to our library of images and will be considered for future crafting into a figurine. The resounding success of the APHA competition has created some interesting opportunities for future competitions. But you will have to stay tuned.

Dixie Rich from Oklahoma wrote on April 16, 2012:
I tried to vote for APHA pony and could not ... no "button" to click on below each pony ... only showed a close-up view... no place for e-mail address popped up ... please help.
Response From Trailmaster:
I'm afraid that meant the voting was over. The results will be announced on our May 1 website update.
