We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

Is *1452 War Pony still available for purchase?
Response From Trailmaster:
"War Pony" has been the all-time bestselling Trail of Painted Ponies figurine... by a mile. It has almost become the icon for The Trail, gracing the cover of our Anniversary book and 2012 calendar. For this reason it has not been retired, and is still available on our official website store.

Carl Moore from Texas wrote on July 30, 2012:
how was the first ornaments (I.e. Clydsdale, black box) packed, is there supposed to be styrofoam packing in the box?
Response From Trailmaster:
The very early Painted Pony ornaments came in a black box, with styrofoam. Then, realizing that people were collecting them as traditional Christmas decorations put out each year, we began to package them in tin with a dye-cur foam protector on the inside. It sounds like you have the "Christmas Clydesdale" ornament which was an early one.

There was a APHA pony selected about 2-3 months ago. Will the selected pony be for sale? If so, when?
Response From Trailmaster:
The winner of the APHA/Trail of Painted Ponies art competition, "Harmony," which depicted a Paint mare and foal running together, is currently being developed as a special figurine which we intend to introduce in January, 2013.

Will you be carrying the new RCMP and Big Ben hanging ornaments that I see on the Enesco webiste? If not, where can I buy them?
Response From Trailmaster:
These ornmants have been presented to retailers for pre-order on the Enesco website, but will not be available until September. You can check with a local retailer near you to see if they have any on order, or purchase them from the Official Trail of Painted Ponies Online Store at that time.

Sherry Couch from Carrollton Ga wrote on July 08, 2012:
I have several questions, the first being when people send in ponies and their designs do they get paid for them or what? Second question is are all the ponies equal in value meaning a painted pony to a pony with stuff on the outside of it, like the FOUR SEASONS PONY? Thanks Sherry Couch
Response From Trailmaster:
First question: We have a financial and promotional compensation package for every artist who submit a design we like enough to want to craft it into figurine. Second question: When a Painted Pony is first released, each has a relatively equal retail price, except for those that are autographed by the artist (are part of the Official Autographed Edition, in other words) or have a low edition number. In the eyes of many collectors, these have more value. The amount of "stuff" on a Painted Pony is not always indicative of its value. Sometimes less is more.

Is there a set for twilight hunters or just 1 horse?
Response From Trailmaster:
"Twilight Hunters" is the name of one Painted Pony.
