We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

I am moving to the dessert and need to store my collection extensive collection for awhile until I add on to my home to accommodate all the curios I have. Will the ponies be ok in the garage for a while. Weather varies but pretty close to Arizona.
Response From Trailmaster:
You are right to pay attention to the potential envionmental/climate effects on your collectibles. Barring extreme temperatures, your Ponies should be okay. The only issues we are aware of where stored Ponies have been negatively impacted is with ceramic figurines that have extensive decals on them.

Why is the mini Forever & Ever so named? What is it decorated with? I enjoy the explanation of the design before buying a Pony. Thank you!
Response From Trailmaster:
When we first came out with the Mini's they were going to be monthlies. "Forever & Ever" was planned as a Spring Pony, and so named because a lot of people married in the month of April.

Robin from Oklahoma wrote on March 24, 2016:
How many Editions of Arabian nights did they make and how many? Thank you.
Response From Trailmaster:
The last "Arabian Nights" number at retirement was 2E/4,673. This means that 14,673 were made.

Sorry about this. Please contact the Official Store and let them know what happened. We will try to locate another one but at the very least, you will be reimbursed.

I have broken a few of my figurines as a result of an accident. I was wondering if there was any place i could send them to get professionally repaired
Response From Trailmaster:
At one point there was a handy collector who offered her services in a kind of "horse hospital" for broken Painted Ponies, but she is no longer performing these services.

Katie Duncan wrote on March 19, 2016:
Is there any way i could purchase painted ponies that are retired
Response From Trailmaster:
We have a nice selection of retired Painted Ponies on the official store. Beyond that, you can find more retired Ponies posted for sale on eBay.

Phyllis from Manitoba Canada wrote on March 11, 2016:
Do Ponies that have been retired ever come out of retirement as a special offer to customers? And if so hoe would I go about finding out when it would happen?
Response From Trailmaster:
We have received many requests to "un-retire" Ponies, but we feel that would damage our credibility and do a disservice to those collectors who purchased Ponies in the belief they were about to be, or were retired. So no, this is not something we will do.

sharron from ND wrote on March 03, 2016:
How many Willing ponies were made because I have one that has a #41539. I was wondering if this was a miss print
Response From Trailmaster:
There were 16,009 "Willing" figurines made. The last edition number was 2E/6009.

Ole Morgan from Colorado wrote on February 26, 2016:
I have "The Year of the Horse" #12223. Is that retired? Or? I cannot find another one anywhere. What would be its value?
Response From Trailmaster:
Yes, "Year of the Horse" was retired many years ago, which is why you are finding it hard to locate. There is no Blue Boook when it comes to assigning a specific value to rare or retired Ponies. It depends on things such as its condition, edition number, whether it was signed by the artist, if you have the box it came in, and how badly someone else wants one, since they are no longer available in stores. To get a general idea of what people are willing to pay for it, check eBay.

Ann from GA wrote on February 22, 2016:
Could the Trail maybe consider putting the base on the ornaments, like they do on the full size figurines?
Response From Trailmaster:
Our feeling is that adding a base would take it out of the ornament category, and make it a mini hanging figurine, which would have limited appeal.
