We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

I was given a plaque labeled on the back as follows: The Trail of Painted Ponies 1E/0025 Item No. 12434 Tewa Horse and 2004 the Trail of Painted Ponies, LLC Westland Made in China
Response From Trailmaster:
Not sure where that came from. We weren't making plaques for the Ponies when we were with Westland. We added plaques when we transitioned to Enesco in 2010.

I have Wish Upon A Star painted pony which I broke. It has 4 cracked legs which are still attached but have gaps in the limbs. What can I get to fill in the gaps and what type of paint would I need to cover up the repairs?
Response From Trailmaster:
This will be difficult. What I would suggest is taking the Pony into a crafts store, finding a salesperson who is knowledgable, and asking them what they would recommend. There may be things on the market that I'm not aware of.

Bought the horse "Heavenly Pony" in 2009 or 2010 at Petsmart and I broke it and can I find another one!
Response From Trailmaster:
Your best bet is to go on eBay and see if someone is selling their "Heavenly Pony." Other than that, if someone reads this and has one they want to sell, they can contact The Trail and we will put them in touch with you.

I would like to know if any of the artists, have ever done a painted pony with a dragon theme ? Thank you
Response From Trailmaster:
We receive a lot of design submissions that what we craft into figurines, and we have received a number of Ponies painted with dragon imagery. To date, however, we have not come out with a dragon-themed Pony.

It has become necessary to do extensive downsizing and I am sadly parting with my Trail collection...I have several 1st and 2nd editions plus others and have been trying to get an idea of their resale value...All are no longer available according to your website...Any suggestions where I might look...???
Response From Trailmaster:
It sounds as if you have accumulated a valuable Painted Pony collection. As for resale value, the collectible market is similar to the real estate market. Prices go up and down, and we all want to sell when the resale value is high. Timing is the big question. Your best bet is to post a few on eBay, see the response, and decide if now is the right time for you to sell.

Some painted ponies you can buy from the artist now with certificate of artistry, is there a way of finding out what artists are selling their ponies? I can not find it on here.
Response From Trailmaster:
Go to our Official Store, then to the New Release Page, click on a Pony and you will see whether that Pony is available with a Certificate of Artistry below the Order Now button.

What is the difference between Standard Edition and Blue Ribbon Edition?
Response From Trailmaster:
All Painted Ponies are sequentially hand-numbered on the underside of the base. The very first twelve castings - #0001 through #0012 - have a higher perceived value in the minds of serious collectors. We refer to these first twelve Ponies as the Blue Ribbon Edition, and they are exclusively available through the Official Trail of Painted Ponies Store.
