We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

I havewhat looks like a second edition 1346 2003 Westland Mosaic Appaloosa Item 1466 and dated 2003. I expect this will be a retired model. Would you know its worth?
Response From Trailmaster:
A retired Painted Pony of this vintage is considered rare. As for its worth, there is no fixed price. It is worth whatever someone who wants it is willing to pay. I saw a Mosaic Appaloosa the other day in a store and it was priced at $139, without the original box it came in.

I purchased the 500 piece shaped Jigsaw Puzzle "Sound of Thunder" that has a piece missing. How do I get the missing piece? The Item number of the puzzle is 96084
Response From Trailmaster:
I'm afraid you're out of luck on this one. The company that manufactured the puzzle no longer makes them and did not make extra parts. Why not make one of your own?

Jenny from CA wrote on February 08, 2016:
What is your return policy?
Response From Trailmaster:
It depends on the reason for the return, and where it was purchased. If there is a manufacturer's defect, the retail store where it was purchased will usually arrange for a replacement. If a Pony was purchased from our Official Store and arrived broken, it will be replaced at no charge.

What are the painted ponies made of from the trail of painted ponies?
Response From Trailmaster:
Over our history we have created a number of ceramic Ponies, but now they are strictly made of a high-grade resin.

Please take a look at the Frequently Asked Questions in the Q&A section of our website for the answer to this and other questions.

I have the figurine "Blondes" and the logo & edition info is printed backwards but still hand numbered like normal. Is this a unique factory error or is there a handful of them? 1E 9163 is the number
Response From Trailmaster:
This is the first I've heard of this anomaly, so yes, I would call it a "unique factory error."

Steve from NC wrote on January 21, 2016:
where can I find a list of the first set of Ponies made?
Response From Trailmaster:
If you go to the Collectors Checklist section of our website, and then to Figurines Collectors Checklist, you will find a list of all figurines crafted to date, organized by release.

Is there a Storyteller horse?
Response From Trailmaster:
A Storyteller horse was created for the original public art project, but it has not yet been crafted as a figurine.

Linda Meyer from St. Charles, MO wrote on January 14, 2016:
Is there a reference guide that shows all of the painted ponies that have been released from day one?
Response From Trailmaster:
No, we do not have a place on our website that shows all the Painted Ponies that have been released. But that isn't a bad idea, and we will consider it for 2016. Thanks.
