We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

I put an order in on or about 11-22-2019. I ordered as a guest and now have not been able to find the order on line or track it. Can you give me any info on this order as to the shipping or tracking?
Response From Trailmaster:
Please send all relevant information to: rikki@paintedponies.com. She will help you.

My daughter has a Painted Pony collection and now her 14 year old son would like to collect too. Can you recommend a pony that is rugged looking and might appeal to a teenaged boy?
Response From Trailmaster:
We like to say there is a Painted Pony that will appeal to everyone, but when it comes to making a recommendation, it becomes a difficult decision. Might you somehow lure the young man to perusing the selection of Ponies available and seeing which one he responds to? I would tend to focus on the Western or Native American designs. Good luck.

I was wondering if you would beable to tell me how much my ponies are worth, alot of them are retired ones.
Response From Trailmaster:
This question has been answered many times. There is no "Blue Book" for the worth of Painted Ponies. It depends on how popular a particular Pony was at one time, what its edition number is, its condition is, whether it is autographed by the artist, and what the demand is for it today. This holds true for just about any collectible.

Charles Schrum from FL wrote on November 07, 2019:
Hi How do I purchase autographed horses when they are intially released? Other than eBay.
Response From Trailmaster:
You can contact the artist directly. Most of the artists have Facebook pages. If you still have difficulty, you can contact us.

I have over two hundred painted ponies. Most all are 1e some very low numbers, some signed. I am down sizing. They have been on display. I have all boxes and certificates. I would like to sell them. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. My ponies began in 2005. Many are discontinued. Several I bought from you. At the time my email was different.
Response From Trailmaster:
It sounds like you have a wonderful and valuable collection. A while back we were contacted by a museum in Italy that was interested in dedicating a room to ALL the Painted Ponies that had been created. Nothing came of it, unfortunately, but if we are contacted again, or by another museum, we will keep you in mind.

Do you accept design submissions from people in Australia?
Response From Trailmaster:
Yes, we do.

Pat Hutchison from Sun City AZ wrote on October 29, 2019:
can you please tell me the value of 1E/5490? Painted Pony is in excellent condition
Response From Trailmaster:
The value of all Painted Ponies depends on the popularity of the design (at the time it was released and the demand today), the edition number (lower is more valuable), condition (no chips or repairs), whether the original box is included, and how much the buyer wants the piece.

Judy Souza from California wrote on October 19, 2019:
I have a Barbara Eden Dreamcatcher pony with an Edition number: 1E/0.074CC. What does the CC mean.
Response From Trailmaster:
CC stands for the Celebrity Collection.

Jeremy Miner from Washington wrote on October 18, 2019:
I have a large retired Woodland Hunter painted pony and was wondering what the value of it is its never been out of its box so its still in prestine condition and has all the amenities that were with it when it was purchased but im not sure what the value for it was now?
Response From Trailmaster:
What you have is so rare and unique, it is difficult to say what its value is today. I would put it up on eBay at twice the original retail price, and see what the response is.

Stacey Owen from Kansas wrote on October 13, 2019:
When did "The Colt of many colors" come out? We are really wanting to find one. We have looked everywhere, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Response From Trailmaster:
In collaboration with Dolly Parton, we created the life-size "Colt of Many Colors.," which is on display at the Dixie Stampede in Branson, Missouri. To date, it has not yet come out as a collectible figurine.
