We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

I would like to plan a trip to see some of the life-sized ponies. Is there a way I can find out where they are and if it is possible to see them? Thanks
Response From Trailmaster:
There was a time when he had almost one hundred life-size Painted Ponies rounded up in one location in Santa Fe. Alas, the majority of them were auctioned off and sold, so there is not one location today where a grouping can be found. Wouldn't it be fun to have a reunion? (See this month's Pony News on our website homepage for the latest donation of a life-size Painted Pony to a museum.)

i found a beautiful painted pony. it is called "the trail of Painted Ponies 2e/2.405 item no. 12206 horsefeathers artist Jeanne selby and 2005 The treail of painted ponies inc... I love it and plan on starting collection for my grand daughter, However the left ear on horse is broken off. How or where can I get this fixed?. thank you for your attentions. Lorie Maczko
Response From Trailmaster:
At one point a handy collector volunteered to open up a Horse Hospital for broken or damaged Painted Ponies. I'm afraid we've lost touch. Your best solution will probably be Super Glue and to do it yourself.

are all ofthe horses in the competition going to be made? or just the two that get the most votes. there are several more i would love to have.
Response From Trailmaster:
Some of the horse designs from the competition will be crafted into figurines, we just haven't decided which ones yet. Sorry for not responding sooner. We have been experiencing some website problems.

When will the colt of many colors be made into a figurine for purchase. I saw the original in Branson and fell in love with it. Would like to add it to my collection of painted ponies.
Response From Trailmaster:
See an earlier response to this question. The short answer is, "Soon, we hope."

Your description of the Trail of Tears Pony Story cites "the forced relocation of the Cherokee Indians from their Tribal Lands in Oklahoma" However, we were not removed FROM Oklahoma, which did not exist for another 70 years, but from our homelands in the southeastern part of the United States--GA, TN, AL--and were driven to Indian Territory (became part of the state of OK in 1907). Thought you might want to know the card was in error and could perhaps correct it.
Response From Trailmaster:
You are right, this was an inadvertent error and we apologize and stand corrected. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to set the record straight.

I have a QuarterHorse that I am unable to tell the number on the horse. It says 1E/it looks like a P, however it could be an 8 or even a 9. Is there any place I am able to send a photo to to find out for sure what the number is and what the value is? I have no box or tag. the number is ?,346. Thank you for your help.
Response From Trailmaster:
Please send a photo to info@paintedponies.com and we will try and help.

we have a donated auction item, Love As Strong As A Horse item #1595, could you please tell me what you would value this at?
Response From Trailmaster:
This is a retired figurine by a tribally recognized, award-winning Native American artist (you should mention this in the auction promotional material). So it should bring a good price. One comp you might check would be on eBay. Look for the same Pony, similar edition number, and whether it has been autographed by the artist.

I wondere if there were any plans to ofer more of the 14 1/2 X 19 1/2 stained glass suncatchers? I have 3 and would like more if ever available.
Response From Trailmaster:
You can find a limited number Painted Pony stained-glass suncatchers for sale in our Official Website Store. As well as other glass art featurinig Ponies. Get them while you can. Right now we don't have plans to create any more.

Debra from New Mexico wrote on April 27, 2013:
What if I do not have the tag nor the box for my painted pony. Are they still a valuable collectible
Response From Trailmaster:
There's no getting around it. Having the tag and the original box make for a more complete collectible set, and thus more valuable in the eyes of most collectors. But you may have have an especially low edition number. Or the piece could be handsigned by the artist. Those details would be an offsetting factor. Plus, there may be someone out there who just wants that piece, wants it now, and doesn't care about the packaging.

Will you show all the entries for the Appaloosa National Art Competition? I would sure love to see them all.
Response From Trailmaster:
We have been dealing with some issues on our server that have meant questions to the Trailmaster were not received. I will attempt to answer them now. As you probably know by now, we did not show all the entries. There were just too many. We had to narrow them down to ten in each category.
