We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

There are different options when purchasing a pony - how do you know which to choose. In particular what is the Standard Version - is this still a 1E version? Please clarify. Thank you.
Response From Trailmaster:
Sorry you are finding this confusing, though I can understand why because you are right, there are several options a collector has when purchasing a Painted Pony figurine from our Store. What we call "Standard Edition" is a regular figurine like you will find in retail stores everywhere. It comes in the same laminated box, and includes a story card, and may or may not be a 1E with a low edition number.... However, through the Official Online Store exclusively, we also offer "enhanced" figurines, which would include those that are autographed by the artist, or are a guaranteed low number. Hope this helps.

I am looking for a canyon beauty painted pony to buy as a Xmas present for a friend. She collects them. Her sons name is canyon. Her other sons name is Cauper, so I was able to find a copper enchantment. Can anyone please help me. Thank you!!
Response From Trailmaster:
"Canyon Beauty," a glorious tribute to the Grand Canyon, was created as a Masterwork, which stands approximately two feet tall and is cast in a marble compound. It is a one-of-a-kind original Painted Pony that has not yet been crafted into a figurine. It is for sale, and if you would like more information, contact info@paintedponies.com.

What happened to the Painted Pony Candles? I loved buy these candles and I cannot seem to find them on your site any longer.
Response From Trailmaster:
Consistent with our desire to work with individual artists, the candle company was a small family operation we met at an outdoor art show. Sadly, they went out of business during the recession.

How do I find value of retired ponies
Response From Trailmaster:
In answering this question I am responding to a dozen other Ask the Trailmaster questions that essentially ask the same: How much is my Pony worth? The best way to respond at this time is to check on eBay, see if your Pony is listed, and what it is selling for. Many factors come into play. Original popularity of the piece. Condition of the Pony and the box it came in. Edition number. Is it retired? Is it autographed by the artist? How important is it to a buyer to add this Pony to their collection at this time. How important is it to you to sell this Pony at this time. Good luck.

what is the name of the pony that has the candy canes on its side. NOT peppermint twist, whole candy canes
Response From Trailmaster:
Perhaps you are asking about "Christmas Carousel," which has whole peppermint candies on it, along with a whole candy cane as the post.

Barb T from Michigan USA wrote on November 25, 2013:
Since TOPPS is not going to have the signed ponies. Where can we get them signed and how?
Response From Trailmaster:
We are not discontinuing the Autographed Edition, we are merely shifting it to the artists, so that in the future collectors and artists can communicate directly. All details will be provided on the January website.

"Blood Brothers" has not yet come out as a figurine. But there's a rumor going round that it may be part of next summer's herd of Painted Ponies.

I am looking for a painted pony with barrel racing or pole bending theme , is there any out there for sale ? Thank You ....
Response From Trailmaster:
We have created several rodeo-themed Painted Ponies, with more coming. But none that specifically draw on the barrel racing event.

Will there be a Crazy Horse Memorial themed pony in the future? http://crazyhorsememorial.org/
Response From Trailmaster:
There was a life-size Painted Pony created by the acclaimed Native artist CJ Wells that was a tribute to Crazy Horse, but nothing is currently planned that celebrates the mountain that is being carved into a representation of Crazy Horse.
