We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

I have a 5X7 plaque 1E/0184 and have not been able to find items like this anywhere on the internet - could you please tell me about these?
Response From Trailmaster:
For a period of time, early in the life of The Trail of Painted Ponies, between 2004 and 2005, we came out with a line of plaques that featured Native Ponies accompanied by wise sayings from Indian elders. This may be what you are referring to.

Do you or know of anyone who buys 1E/2016 Unity or 1E/8264 Go van Gogh? I was given them many years ago as a gift but I am moving and have no place for them. They are new in box with card? Thank you
Response From Trailmaster:
These are very rare Ponies. Our best suggestion for these and other rare Ponies is to put them up for sale on eBay.

I have the quarter horse item 1478 1E series, where can I find out more about it, value etc?
Response From Trailmaster:
Information about "Quarterhorse" can be found in the retired section of the Collectors Checklist.

Will Fawn Memories be available as part of the Trail of Painted Ponies collection?
Response From Trailmaster:
We are looking at all the submissions and considering them for future development as a figurine. The entry that received the most votes - Fawn Memories - is certainly one we will look at closely. It is a beautiful design.

Can collectors suggest which ponies they would like as ornaments? I would love Midnight Glow as an ornament.
Response From Trailmaster:
We welcome ideas from collectors. This is how several figurines came about. Your suggestion is a good one and we will definitely consider it as we continue to produce Collectors Choice Ornaments.

What is the diffrace in prices for the ponies?? Is the 1e worth more or how is it priced. I am starting to collect them and need to know what i should pay for them and what they worht... thank you
Response From Trailmaster:
The price for Painted Ponies that you will find on the Official Store is what is known as the SRP, which stands for the Standard Recommended Price that all retailers are given by the manufacturer. The Standard Edition Ponies you see for sale are priced accordingly. What you will find on the Official Store and nowhere else, however, are what we are calling, beginning on July 1, 2014, the Blue Ribbon Edition. These consist of the very first twelve castings of each Pony. On the underside of the base you will see 1E/0001 through 1E/0012. Because they are the very first castings, because there are only twelve of them, and because their casting numbers are so low, they have an enhanced value in the eyes of serious collectors. Accordingly, they are priced slightly higher: $75.

I purchased Rodeo Dreams at a garage sale, on the bottom it has 1E/ then nothing written in. What happened?...LOL
Response From Trailmaster:
It's called "human error." Each Painted Pony is hand-numbered, but once in a while one is missed.

I was wondering if a model pony, of CLOUD, celebrating the life of the most continually documented wild animal (from birth) in the western, hemisphere is possible? Cloud, is the wild stallion documented by Ginger Katherins in 3 PBS Nature Series documentaries. He is the ambassador for our wild horses. I believe a model pony of him would generate a lot of money. I am hoping all or part of the proceeds can go to The Cloud Foundation, which is Dedicated to the preservation of wild horses on public lands and protecting Clouds herd in the Arrowhead Mountains of Montana. Donations help pay legal fees as they fight to help the wild horses stay FREE. A Cloud model would help this wonderful cause. I am sure any horse lover or anyone who has seen these moving documenteries would be willing to help. I am sure Ms. Katherins would be thrilled. Maybe you could contact her at The Cloud Foundation website.
Response From Trailmaster:
Thanks for thinking of us. It's an interesting idea. We will look into it. In the meantime we will print this so that others may learn more about Cloud.

Do you offer gift certificates?
Response From Trailmaster:
We do not offer Gift Certificates. We looked into the idea but found there were simply too many complexities. Sorry.
