We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

Will the ornament Keeper of Dreams from the contest be made to sell?
Response From Trailmaster:
A decision has not been made yet, but if I were a betting man....

Has there been a pony done for breast cancer?
Response From Trailmaster:
Not yet, but just the other day we received an artist submission of a Breast Cancer Pony design, and we are posting it on our Facebook page for comment.

Hi there could you tell me if the painted ponie Harmony paint mare & foal has been retired or not thanks.
Response From Trailmaster:
"Painted Harmony" has most certainly not been retired. In fact it remains one of our best selling figurines.

Shawn from England wrote on October 30, 2014:
First, your Ponies are beautiful. That said, are there any plans to make new molds that reverses the stances of the Figurines? My display is all one sided, lol.
Response From Trailmaster:
Thank you for your compliment. Currently, Painted Ponies come five different positions: standing, walking, running, rearing and trotting. But as you can see with figurines such as "Don't Fence Me In," as well as with the realistic "Beauty of the Breed" series, we do create new positions... and we will continue to do so.

Barbara from Scranton, PA wrote on October 28, 2014:
What size is the paint your own if it is not an ornament?
Response From Trailmaster:
The Paint Your Own figurines are the same size as our Standard Figurines - around 7" tall.

Barbara from Scranton, PA wrote on October 28, 2014:
What type of paints work best when painting your own pony?
Response From Trailmaster:
Most of our artists use acrylic paints, which dry quickly, but there have been some that prefer oil-based paints. Be sure that the unpainted resin surface is free of debris, dust and oils from your hands.

I am a new collector and would like to know the difference between 1E,2E, is one better than the other?
Response From Trailmaster:
It would not be correct to say that a 1E (which stands for a first edition, meaning it is lower in the casting order) is "better" than a 2E (second edition). But among those who take collecting seriously, a 1E is perceived to have more value.

Brittany Boyd from Tyler, Tx wrote on October 21, 2014:
My mom collects the Trail of Painted Ponies and only the first edition. I am wanting to buy her one and am wondering what the difference is between first edition and blue ribbon edition is. Also what is standard edition. Thanks in advance.
Response From Trailmaster:
The Blue Ribbon Edition refers to a select number of very low first edition figurines - numbers 0012 and under - that are available exclusively through the Official Trail of Painted Ponies store. The term First Edition refers to those figurines with a casting number under 10,000. Standard Edition is the term we use to refer to those figurines that do not have a special designation, i.e. they are neither Blue Ribbon Editions or Retired or Autographed by the artist. Standard Edition may be First Editions, but could also be Second or Third Editions.

Is there a trail of pony that is called or goes by the name Shiloh
Response From Trailmaster:
Yes, "Shiloh" is the name of the Pony that was created by the late actor Tony Curtis. It was named after the horse rescue operation that his wife, Jill, runs near Las Vegas. The figurine is available through the Official Store.

Kerrie from Queensland, Australia wrote on October 17, 2014:

Response From Trailmaster:
No, we had not yet begun adding title plates when we created this Pony.
