We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

I have a pony with no number and heard that is is one of the very first ponies made. Is that correct? Is there a way to find out the value? Perfect condition in the box.
Response From Trailmaster:
To answer this question we would need more information, beginning with the name of the Pony.

I have a very large collection of first edition and retired painted ponies in original boxes. What is the best way to proceed in selling them? Individually or by collections?
Response From Trailmaster:
Probably individually. And once you have decided on pricing, please let us know. Sometimes we are interested in first edition Ponies.

Looking to buy a pony on e-bay. Unfortunately, it has no edition number. Just the #40 Hmmm. How do i know what edition number it is? IE etc..?

Ask the seller to send pix of the Pony, and the underside of the base.

I have a retired figurine---Cowgirl Cadillac. How do I determine its value if I wish to sell it?
Response From Trailmaster:
There is no fixed way of knowing its value. It depends on its condition, its edition number, if you have the original box it came in. Then, it depends on how badly a collector wants to add this figurine to his/her collection. The best way to determine its current value in the marketplace is to check on eBay for a comparable piece.

Connie from Wisconsin wrote on February 21, 2019:
Is the horse of a different color a c1Aollectible to and is the value comparable,
Response From Trailmaster:
If you are referring to the Horse of a Different Color line of Painted horses that was created by Westland Giftware - check the underside of the base for this information - these are not Trail of Painted Ponies figurines and their current value does not compare.

I would like to sell my painted pony to a serious collector. Do you offer third-party sales on your site.
Response From Trailmaster:
We do not. We looked into it but found it to be more complex than we initially thought. EBay is still your best option.
