We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

Is there anywhere to get a complete list of ornaments?
Response From Trailmaster:
Yes. Under the Collectors Menu at the top of the homepage there is a Collectors Checklist option. On the Collectors Checklist page there is an Ornaments Checklist that lists all ornaments crafts to date.

I just saw that Dolly Parton has designed a painted designed a pony entitled Colt of Many Colors. When I called the number on your website to inquire as to whether or not it was in production, no one had heard of it. Do you know anything about whether it is in production, where I can find one, etc.?
Response From Trailmaster:
We worked with Dolly Parton on the creation of a life-size Painted Pony titled "Colt of Many Colors." It has been on display at Dixie Stampede in Branson, Missouri. The idea was that this would be the prototype on a figurine that would be sold to raise money for a literacy organization Dolly supports. Unfortunately, there were details to the arrangement that could not be worked, so a figurine was never created.

I have item # 12371 "War Pony" 1E/0139...iS THIS RETIRED??I CANNOT LOCATE IT ON THE RETIRED LIST...ALSO I NOTICED SOME ARE REFERED TO: War Pont BUST??? what does the BUST mean?? thanks
Response From Trailmaster:
Yes, "War Pony" has been retired. It has been by far our most popular figurine. The "War Pony Bust" refers to a series of castings featuring just the head and neck of the "War Pony" design.

How to register my retired Sky of Enchantment?
Response From Trailmaster:
The best advice is to follow the instructions on how to register a Painted Pony, and if it still doesn't work, let us know at: info@paintedponies.com.

How much should I pay for someone selling a second edition snowflake The trail of painted ponies 12202, 2nd addition 7,643
Response From Trailmaster:
We can't tell you how much you should pay. There is no set price guide for retired Painted Ponies. Our suggestion is to check on eBay to see what other "Snowflake" figurines have sold for, and then decide what you think is a fair price.

I have a 1E Willing pony that has a weird pony number. it is either 0,041, 1,041, or p,041. what would be the best way to get that figured out?
Response From Trailmaster:
This is difficult to answer with certainty because all the "Willing" Painted Pony figurines were hand-numbered. What I can say is that all of the numbers are low, "Willing" was an amazingly original design by a famous Native American artist, and you have a valuable Painted Pony here.

Rosemary McCauley from Arizona wrote on August 29, 2020:
I have Autumn Dancer numbered 161/250 and no E number. Is this considered Pre E or something else? I also have Petroglyph numbered 131/150 and it does have 1E 2,087. What is the difference? Thank you
Response From Trailmaster:
There were no Pre Es created of Autumn Dancer. A Pre E only applies to a limited number of castings of the very first release of Painted Ponies in 2003. The number on Petroglyph reflects the order of casting.

I would like to buy a Wildfire tag to go with my pony can you recommend where I could buy one from
Response From Trailmaster:
I'm afraid we do not overprint the tags for the Ponies, so we do not have any extras. As an alternative, you might want to go to the write-up for Wildfire on our website and print it out.
