We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

Will the Happy Trail Collection be coming out later this month?
Response From Trailmaster:
The winter Happy Trails Collection is being currently presented to retailers, but because it won't be shipped until this summer, we are holding back from introducing it on our website until the spring.

Several years ago, I won a pony in a raffle called "Rosie the Apparoosa". It's different than any others I've seen, in that it seems to be ceramic. The date on it is 2003. Can you tell me more about it?
Response From Trailmaster:
"Rosie the Apparoosa" was originally a life-sized Pony that was part of the Santa Fe, New Mexico public art exhibition. It was created by the Santa Fe painter Marianne Hornbuckle. It was a standing ceramic figurine and it was retired in 2004.

I really enjoy reading the collector's stories published in the E-Magazine. Will you be publishing more of these?
Response From Trailmaster:
I'll be honest. We used to include stories about Painted Ponies collectors in the E-Magazine, as well as artists and retailers. But we never got much of a reaction so we weren't sure they were being read and enjoyed. If visitors to our website like a certain feature, positive feedback would let us know that what we're doing is being appreciated and should be continued.

You can expect to see "Trail of Tears" offered as a figurine in the fall of 2012.

To us Canadians "Big Ben" was a champion jumper--ask the people around the world that are in the equestrian world so I find it odd that his name would be used even if it supposedly refers to the clock. Painted ponies is about horses not clocks.
Response From Trailmaster:
We were not aware of "Big Ben" the champion jumper from Canada. As this was a Pony that was designed with the UK in mind, we're sure there are people across the pond who will appreciate the name on its own, as well as for its play on the name of the famous clock.

Lynda Clausen from Iowa wrote on January 04, 2012:
Are the original life-sized ponies displayed somewhere and if so where?
Response From Trailmaster:
It would have been nice to keep the original herd of life-size Painted Ponies together in one place, such as a museum, but unfortunately that didn't happen. They scattered to different places, including art galleries, private homes, businesses, and also a few museums.

Della Levesque from Phoenix wrote on January 03, 2012:
I would like some info of the Phoenix Pony. Was it made exclusively for Pam Delduca of Delstar Corp. Has this pony been retired now that Delstar no longer exists? Will there ever be another Phoenix Pony made or has the mold been broken?
Response From Trailmaster:
Yes, the "Phoenix Pony" was an exclusive created solely for Delstar. It will be officially retired on February 1, and no more will be crafted.

A friend has a Black Thoroughbred with names of some of the great female racehorses. Do you have one in stock? I would like to purchase it. Thank You Very Much.
Response From Trailmaster:
I believe the Pony you are asking about is "Fantastic Fillies." This is retired and quite rare. We do have one in stock but only one. If you are interested, please contact Rikki, Director of Special Sales, at 877-459-5701.

Rebecca Foo from CA wrote on January 01, 2012:
When will Ghost Ranch ponyscapes be released and available to purchase?
Response From Trailmaster:
This was a life-size Painted Pony that was part of the original public art exhibition in Santa Fe. Currently, we do not have any plans for crafting it into a figurine.

Melissa from niagara falls wrote on December 29, 2011:
I was just wondering why some of the painted ponies have gold name plates on the base of the figurine and than theres others that dont have the name plate on them. If im purchasing a pony should i make sure that the name plate is on them?
Response From Trailmaster:
When we moved to a new manufacturer in the winter of 2010, we decided to add title plates to all figurines going forward - both new figurines and re-crafted figurines. We felt this added a "fine art" dimension to Painted Pony figurines, but that does not necessarily diminish the value of those Ponies without title plates. It's really a matter of personal preference.
