We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

I really love Painted Harmony. Will you ever use that mold again?
Response From Trailmaster:
How does the saying go? Never say never? This said, in addition to the composition, what makes this piece so unique and special is the way the coat colors on the mare and her foal blend so perfectly. If we were to make a mold of "Painted Harmony" and paint it differently, it would probably not have the same appeal.

I have recently purchased a 2004 Lightning Bolt Colt with a Black Box & Black Tag. I cannot read the hand written numbers on the bottom of the base. Would this be considered the 4th herd of the 1E or would it 4E for the 4th edition? I would like to document the correct edition. Thank you for your help with my inquiry. Best regards, Jerry Rice
Response From Trailmaster:
Please take a picture of the bottom of the base and send it to info@paintedponies.com. We'll get back to you with our thoughts.

I have a 1472 Go Van Gogh 1E figurine with misspelling on side. It says Vincet rather than Vincent. Is it worth more or less than one with the correct spelling? Thank you.
Response From Trailmaster:
I'm afraid a misspelling qualifies the Pony as an anomaly, but in the eyes of a serious collector is not going to be perceived as somethig that adds value.

how common is the error on the horse serenity..the bottom of mine has a totally different name...thank you
Response From Trailmaster:
This is the first issue we have heard about "Serenity," which was retired a number of years ago.

Our daughter, a horse lover, is getting married this June 2013..is there a painted pony "wedding" edition that could be used a decoration at the wedding/reception?
Response From Trailmaster:
We have not created a Wedding Painted Pony. What we have done, because we have received many requests for one, is refer collectors to one of our artists, Maria Ryan, who specializes in creating personalized Wedding Ponies. If you would like to get in touch with Maria, please call our 800 number.

why is a picture of John Lennon appearing on my collectors list for the pony Wooden Toy Horse!?!
Response From Trailmaster:
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. The picture of John Lennon was used as a place holder for an early update on this program. It has now been changed.

How can I find out the value of a retired pony?
Response From Trailmaster:
The best way is to see what your retired Pony is worth at this time is to go on eBay and see what the same Pony, in a similar condition with a similar number, is selling for.

Will the "American Paint Horse Association Art Competition" horses be made into production pieces. I collect PAINT horses and would love to add these to my collection. If they are going to be production pieces do you have a release date for them? Thank you
Response From Trailmaster:
The winning entry in the APHA Competition - "Painted Harmony" - was just released as part of the January 2013 general release. Over this next year, two, and possibly three of the other entries will come out as figurines. The competition generated a lot of extraordinary imagery.
