We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

I am looking for item # 1459 Five Card Stud. Can you help me find one?
Response From Trailmaster:
I'm going to try something different, just to see what happens. If there are any collectors who have a Five Card Stud in their collection that they would like to sell, please contact me at rod@paintedponies.com. I will put you in touch with Eliseo Baeza

Holly from Pennsylvania wrote on September 15, 2013:
If a pony is retired, am I unable to order it?
Response From Trailmaster:
Retirement means no more will be produced, which automatically turns that piece into a limited edition. For a while, retired Ponies can often be found on our Official Online Store or at your local retailer if they are in stock.

I really like the "first comes freedom" pony, and would like it in porcelain rather than resin. Will they be released anytime soon?
Response From Trailmaster:
When we make the decision to craft a figurine in resin, we generally do not come out with the same piece in another material, such as ceramic.

Elizabeth from Phoenix, AZ wrote on September 12, 2013:
Hello - I purchased a large War Pony 1E at auction and the ad said it had been stored since initial purchase. When I unpacked it I noticed a peculiar odor in the plastic and on the pony itself. Is there any way to clean the pony without ruining it? Thank you for any advice. Elizabeth
Response From Trailmaster:
It's hard to say what is producing this odor. A solution could be as simple as airing the piece out. That's what we would recommend as a first step. To our knowledge there are no cleaning kits for resin collectibles.

Connie from Edgewood, NM wrote on September 03, 2013:
Can you sell horses on this site? If not can you please tell me where I can sell my Mosaiac appalosa. Thank you
Response From Trailmaster:
We are not currently set up to resell Painted Pony figurines on our website. Our suggestion is you may want to offer them on eBay.

Cheryl from SC wrote on August 30, 2013:
Do you still have the ponies that you can paint yourself. I would like the children in our therapeutic riding class to design one.
Response From Trailmaster:
We are in the process of creating an entirely new Paint Your Own Pony collection. It will feature two new and different Pony poses, and a grouping of four Paint Your Own ornaments. We are hoping to have it available for the Christmas Holidays, so stay tuned.

Eric Brown from Arizona wrote on August 26, 2013:
Are you guys ever going to do a painted pony for each of the all the wars or each branch of the armed forces. Just asking as a vet.
Response From Trailmaster:
This is what we are trying to accomplish with the current Military Horse Art Competition. There is one more month left for submissions before the deadline on September 30. Which branches are represented in a future figurine depend to a large extent on the quality of the designs we receive.

Curtis from Weston, West Virginia wrote on August 25, 2013:
Did you cut back on your inventory? When I looked at your website. I noticed, at one time you had all your ponies listed, even though they were no longer available or retired. You even had the Ponies you released by the time frame. Actually, I liked looking at some of your ponies on-line. There was even a couple of retired ponies I was thinking about trying to get.
Response From Trailmaster:
Beginning this month, August, the Official Trail of Painted Ponies store is being handled by a new fulfillment company. The transfer of inventory from the previous company and the upgrading of certain features on the store website is being worked on daily. By our September 1 update all issues should be resolved. If you have any questions, please call the 800 number for the store. Thanks.

Linda from Vermont wrote on August 23, 2013:
Some ads say "Black Box". Whaet does that indicate please?
Response From Trailmaster:
When the first Painted Pony figurines were released in January of 2003, they came in a black box. Over the years we moved to different boxes - burgundy, burgundy with a collection of horses on the front, and the style we use today where the Pony inside the box is pictured on the front, and its story is told on the back. If the Pony you are interested in comes in a black box, that probably means it was one of the early editions.

You should click through to the Official Trail of Painted Ponies Store, which handles the sale of Painted Ponies. Then you can either type the name into the Search Feature at the top of the page, or look under Figurines. Sorry you're having trouble. We are working on improving the shopping experience on our store site.
