We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

am trying to order "Christmas Morn" thru Dillards & nothing comes up. How can I get this pony?
Response From Trailmaster:
Thanks for asking. We checked into this situation just this morning. Dillards' exclusive Holiday Ponys is not in stock yet. It is due in August. Their system just doesn't take pre-orders this far in advance, so you will have to check back later in the summer.

SANDRA from MICHIGAN wrote on May 09, 2017:
PLEASE CLARIFY WHAT "PRE-E MEANS?
Response From Trailmaster:
During the first Painted Ponies release, which was Winter 2003, there were six resin figurines produced without the 1E before the edition number, up to 3,600. The information is shown on the underside of the base. These figurines are considered "Pre-E's" and they are very rare and valuable.

what is the largest painted pony made
Response From Trailmaster:
The largest, of course, would be the life-size Painted Ponies that were created for the original Trail of Painted Ponies Public Art Project back in 2001 and 2002. Then we created Masterworks which stand about two foot tall. We also created several Painted Pony figurines that stood over one foot tall.

Emma from Va wrote on April 30, 2017:
Has there ever been counterfeit Painted Ponies? Like, where people made fakes ones and listed them as real?
Response From Trailmaster:
Early on, we did have some trouble with people changing the edition numbers on the underside of the base. And when our former manufacturer, Westland, came out with a knock-off line of painted horse figurines they were sometimes marketed as Painted Ponies. And there have been some people who have created custom horse figurines and called them Painted Ponies. But as forlarge numbers of counterfeit Painted Ponies, no. If you run across somoe that seem questionable, please contact us immediately for confirmation.

We had 4 ponies donated to a non profit animal rescue. What is your suggested price for the following ponies: 1- Appleoosa: # 2E2.453 2. Willing # 1E 7.624 3. Sky of Enchantment 1E 1.237 4. Incognito 1E 9.075 Can you please suggest what we could sell these for to raise money for our non profit organization?
Response From Trailmaster:
Please go on eBay and see what these Ponies are selling for. That will give you some guidance. I can say that they are quite rare and should fetch a considerably high price. Whether they come in their original box or are autographed by the artist can also influence their perceived value and asking price. Good luck.

Hi there, I have recently found the Short Faux Suede Fur Lined Coat (Style 211) featuring Fetish Pony, Year of the Horse, Renewal of Life, and Kindred Spirits designs in a Goodwill for $10 in excellent condition. I am inquiring about the possible current value of this coat as I have only found one other person selling online for $145. Thank you, Emma
Response From Trailmaster:
Branded apparel does not generally appreciate in value over time the way collectible figurines do, so it would be impossible to put a current value on these coats other than to say it would be considerably more than $10.

Very excited to see the upcoming expansion of the TOPP line with Fire & Ice. Will they be battery operated and will they still be numbered like the other ponies?
Response From Trailmaster:
Yes and yes.

How can I look at the entire collection? I called about it and was told I could only look at them by the different collections but I cant even find options to look at the collections. The only ones I can find are the Standard Edition. I can only figure out how to look at about 80. I have no idea how to access the rest.
Response From Trailmaster:
You probably spoke to someone at the Official Store. To view the entire collection go to our branded homepage, click on Collectors and then go to Collectors Checklist, where you will find the entire collections organized according to date, and also an option that allows you to view the Ponies by theme.
