Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

I have 2009 and 2007 Christmas painted ponies. you said we could sell them on eBay, is there any other way to sell them? And how much are they worth? Perfect condition, box included?
Response From Trailmaster:
I'm going to let my answer to this question be a response to a number of other Ask the Trailmaster questions that have come in. First, it is impossible to say exactly how much a retired figurine is worth. We do not have a way of determining a set value on older Ponies. It all depends on how rare it is, its condition, whether it was signed by the artist, what the demand is, how much a collector is willing to pay to add it to their collection. Some figurines may be worth the retail price you paid when you bought it, while someone who wants to add a particular Pony to their collection may be willing to pay a significantly higher price. Many of the retired earlier Painted Ponies, with low numbered editions, are selling for hundreds of dollars. The highest price we are aware of paid for a retired Pony was $1,200. Secondly, we are in the process of developing a place for people to buy/sell rare Ponies, but for the time being the best place to go is eBay, or, additionally, a new place that has just been brought to our attention. It has a long address but may be worth your checking out: https://www.facebook.com/groups/PaintedPoniessellbuyswapauction/

just obtain two pictures of black and white ponies with some red painted on burlap with the artist name bibi. it is numbered.
Response From Trailmaster:
This doesn't sound like an Official Painted Pony. There have been several knock-off painted horse lines and perhaps this picture is one of them.

Lu Ann W Turlington from North Carolina wrote on November 14, 2017:
Do all painted ponies come in a box. Some have that they come in laminated boxes others say nothing about being boxed.
Response From Trailmaster:
When purchased new from a reputable retailer, or the Official Trail of Painted Pony Store, all legitimate figurines come in a laminated box.

I received a Magic Mystic Mare for my birthday - it is a 1E/ however it is not numbered - what does this mean?
Response From Trailmaster:
I hate to say it but it means that a human error took place. All the Painted Pony figurines are supposed to be hand-numbered on the underside of the base, and someone messed up.

My beloved Medicine Horse and Sacred Refelction of Time Ponies broke during a Relocation service. Were can I fine them again? They were a presentar for my Husband. Thank You in advance. Adriana.
Response From Trailmaster:
Your best bet is eBay, but we will let several private sellers who have collected special Painted Ponies in the past know which Ponies you are interested in. Please contact Rikki at: rikki@paintedponies.com.

I have a small collection of painted ponies some of which are now retired, I am interested in selling but do not know how to go about it can you offer any suggestions
Response From Trailmaster:
At this point, the primary way to resell Painted Ponies is through eBay. Since you are writing from Australia, not sure how that would work, how shipping would be handled.

I have purchased "night flight" one tip of the wing is broken off. Do you have a return policy or how can this be fixed. Thanks
Response From Trailmaster:
Sorry to hear this. Please check with the retail location where you purchased the piece and see what their return policy is.

I have an ear broken on my pony, What is the best way to fix it?
Response From Trailmaster:
Super glue should probably be used to re-attach the broken piece. You may want to check with a local crafts store to see what they would suggest about smoothing and repainting the crack.
