We try to answer questions daily. Questions are not posted until they are answered.

Here are answers to the commonly asked questions about where to resell Painted Ponies, and what their current value is:

When collectors choose to resell their Painted Ponies, we recommend doing so on eBay. There is also a Facebook group, which was set up by Painted Ponies collectors and is not monitored by The Trail of Painted Corporate Office, where you can offer your Painted Ponies for sale. Here is a link to that Facebook group:

To find the current perceived value of your Painted Ponies, we suggest searching on eBay for the same figurine with a similar edition number. If you have an eBay account, you can look up what that particular figurine has sold for recently, and that will give you an even more accurate perceived value.

what happened to the Dog and Pony of the Young At Heart Collection? Was it ever produced? Cannot locate anywhere.
Response From Trailmaster:
That particular Pony was not crafted into a figurine.

Are the horse of a different color and trail black box ponies part of the whole collection?
Response From Trailmaster:
I believe the confusion you are experiencing has to do with the fact that when The Trail of Painted Ponies first came out with a line of collectible figurines, they were manufactured by a company named Westland Giftware and our packaging was black-colored. Since that time, we transitioned to another manufacturer (Enesco), we changed the color of our packaging to burgundy, Westland tried to come out with its own line of painted horses called Horse of a Different Color that was not successful, and soon thereafter, Westland as a company went out of business.

The first ponies i bought were from a collectible store going out of business. I purchased Mosaic Appaloosa, Renewal of Life, Unity and On Common Ground. As i look at them now many years later, none of them have any stamp on the bottom like the ones i purchased after that. They are totally blank. How do i know what edition they are or if they are more or less valuable at this point? Thank you for your response. Cindy Bosinski
Response From Trailmaster:
Not sure I have an explanation for this. But since there is no stamp on the bottom, it is impossible for us to provide any information on what edition they are part of. Nor to offer an opinion on their value.

Back when wesyland was in charge of the ponies i wrote a poem for a competition. I won a painted pony book and a wall painting. Is there any way to find that poem? Itwas published on the pony website? Probably around 2005 or 2009. Cant remember the exact year. I dont even remember the title. But its by me cathy bryant. I gave it somewhere but im not able to get it as ots in storage back in maine.
Response From Trailmaster:
I think you will have better luck retrieving your poem when you return to Maine.

How many Editions and or ponies were released in the beauty of the breed releases.
Response From Trailmaster:
Sixteen Beauty of the Breed figurines have been released so far. None have been officially retired so the final edition numbers are still changing.

What artist sculpted the original form for the Ponies?
Response From Trailmaster:
From the start of The Trail, we wanted to work with sculptors who were known for their equine sculptures. The first three forms - standing, running and walking - were sculpted by Santa Fe sculptor Star Liana York. Then we worked with several different sculptors to create horses in new positions - rearing, turning. Among them is Kathleen Moody, who last year was honored by the Cowgirl Hall of Fame for her achievements in western art.

Do you have any painted ponies that represents infant loss, autism, and/or donating life
Response From Trailmaster:
Currently, we don't. But we will be issuing a call for designs in partnership with different equine therapy organizations soon that in all likelihood will produce imagery with these themes.
