Calling All Artists...

Every year The Trail of Painted Ponies releases new Holiday figurines and corresponding ornaments. These are extremely popular among collectors, and everyone looks forward to seeing which holiday designs will become the next Painted Ponies. In order to keep the designs fresh and exciting, The Trail hosts a Holiday Design Contest each year, and ask artists to submit their designs for consideration. The most outstanding designs may be crafted into figurines and ornaments in the future.

Deadline: Competition will run from June 1, 2020 through July 31, 2020. Winners will be announced on
Monday, August 3, 2020.

Prizes

1st Place - $250 credit to The Trail of Painted Ponies Official Store.
2nd Place - $100 credit to The Trail of Painted Ponies Official Store.
3rd Place - $50 credit to The Trail of Painted Ponies Official Store.

In addition to the Official Store credit prizes listed here, artists whose designs are chosen to be crafted into figurines will also receive a design fee and artist agreement outlining additional benefits.

Re-imagined Holiday Figurines: Recently The Trail of Painted Ponies introduced the Collaboration Collection, which features re-imagined and re-colored previously released Painted Ponies. In addition to new colors, new details can also be added. We invite artists to review previously released Holiday Figurines, then add new colors to the existing design, and new details.

Judging Criteria

Designs will be evaluated for beauty, the skill with which the design is rendered, the creative use of the horse form, the originality of the design and the concept or story behind the design.
